Matthew Simmons, following a successful corporate career, has had over 12 years experience as a freelance marketeer, helping businesses at all stages of their development fulfill their potential through planned, creative marketing and business development.
Matthew, a Cambridge graduate and MBA, comes from a background spanning 25 years in industry, working in a variety of Marketing and Business Development roles for blue chip electronics companies in a variety of product divisions and disciplines.
Since embarking on his freelance career, his assignments have taken him to North America, Europe, India, Japan and China and this has given him the opportunity to benefit from the exposure to different cultures and ways of doing business, not to mention a useful global network of contacts in many disciplines.
Matthew has also lectured in Marketing, Search Engine Optimisation and Social Media at Basingstoke College and Gloucester College and has been invited to contribute chapters on marketing to business books.
Rob has had a successful 30-plus-year career in the corporate world and is now bringing his extensive skills and experience to owning and growing his own successful small business, helping other small business owners to realise their own dreams.
During his career Rob has worked in underwriting, auditing, IT project management and consulting, productivity and quality improvement, business analysis, resource management, learning and development and marketing/communications.
He has worked in companies employing 600 to 300,000 people. Coupled with his considerable experience, Rob is also a qualified internal auditor, which enables him to understand the many functions of businesses of varying sizes.
Also, he is a qualified practitioner of SDI (the Strength Deployment Inventory psychometric tool) which enables him to understand how to best communicate with business owners of different personality types and motivations.
Now that he is running his own coaching business, Rob is familiar with all the challenges that face anyone brave enough and visionary enough to run their own business, in whatever sector that may be.
As well as extensive experience of various functions in the businesses he has been involved in, Rob also has 5 years of coaching people and knows how to best help business owners fulfil their own potential, both personally and commercially.
Rob combines a sharp rationality with impressive personal qualities to make him extremely effective in being able to mentor and coach business owners to achieve the destiny they envisage for themselves. Outside of his working life, Rob lives with his partner Jackie in a Berkshire village and likes to spend his time attending “Dad-rock” concerts and following the fortunes of Manchester United.
